These terms govern your use of the Bevail application and services ("Bevail", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Bevail you agree to them.
The service
Bevail is a dictation application for macOS. The free tier performs speech recognition on your device. Bevail Pro is a paid subscription that adds cloud-based streaming transcription, AI text improvement, and related features, delivered through our gateway service.
Subscriptions and billing
- Pro subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly ($10/month), annually ($96/year), or per seat for teams ($8/seat/month, 3-seat minimum). Prices are in USD and may change with notice before your next renewal.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime; Pro remains active until the end of the paid period. See our refund policy.
- Each subscription is delivered as a license key. Individual licenses are for one person; team licenses cover the purchased number of seats.
Fair use
Pro plans include a monthly usage allowance (currently 5,000 units) that resets each billing cycle and comfortably covers personal dictation use. We may throttle or decline requests beyond it. Don't resell, share, or automate access to the service, and don't attempt to extract our provider credentials or circumvent license checks.
Your content
What you dictate is yours. We claim no ownership over your audio, transcripts, or the text Bevail produces for you. Pro processing is performed solely to deliver the feature you invoked, as described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use Bevail to violate the law, to record people without any legally required consent, or to interfere with the service's operation. You are responsible for complying with recording-consent laws in your jurisdiction when using ambient features.
Disclaimers
Bevail is provided "as is". Transcription and AI-generated text can contain errors — review before you rely on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using Bevail at any time. We may suspend or revoke licenses that violate these terms. If we discontinue the Pro service, we'll refund the unused portion of prepaid subscriptions.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
